Tenth audiovisual adaptation of the mythical work of 1872, this Around the world in 80 days revisited features the excellent David Tennant (Doctor Who, Broadchurch) in the skin of the gentleman Phileas Fogg, alongside the Frenchman Ibrahim Koma in the role of his faithful French servant, Jean Passepartout.
This new version allows itself many freedoms. The German Leonie Benesch thus plays Abigail Fix, the fiery journalist who replaces the policeman imagined by Jules Verne. Besides the modernization of the characters, this version also has the good idea to mock the dross of colonialism and ethnocentrism of the work published in the 19th century.

Will Phileas Fogg reach the end of his bet? Not so sure, since a season 2 has already been ordered, as well as an adaptation of another book by Jules Verne.
