A macabre discovery. A charred body was found in the trunk of a car in the forest of Compiègne (Oise), the prosecution and a police source said on Thursday, confirming information from the Parisian. An investigation has been opened.
The prosecutor of Compiègne, Marie-Céline Lawrysz, told AFP that this investigation was entrusted to the judicial police of Creil (Oise), without giving more details.
The body and the car not identifiable
The investigation was opened in search of the causes of death, but could quickly evolve, according to a police source. “The body was found late Wednesday afternoon,” said a source close to the investigation. Neither the body nor the car are identifiable at this time, she added.
An autopsy is scheduled for Friday, and “work around the vehicle” must be carried out to allow its identification, according to the same source.
