What happened to this 19-year-old young man, found dead on the night of Saturday to Sunday along a road in Saint-Georges-de-Montaigu (Vendée)? Four days later, the circumstances of the tragedy are still very unclear. This Wednesday, the gendarmerie launched an appeal for witnesses.
“As part of the investigation carried out to establish the causes of death, the national gendarmerie invites anyone who has seen a person walking or lying on the D137 departmental road to contact the Montaigu-Vendée brigade by dialing 02 51 94 00 89”, indicate the gendarmes on Instagram.
According to the newspaper West France, the investigators are particularly seeking to establish whether or not the young man, who lived in the area, was knocked down by a car. The autopsy carried out could not establish the circumstances of the tragedy and no trace was found at the scene. The victim, whose body was discovered around 3:50 a.m., died of head trauma.
