A building in the historic center evacuated after a floor collapsed

The scene took place on the very famous Parliament Square, during the night from Thursday to Friday. A stone’s throw from the Christmas market culinary chalets and the Great Fir Tree, just above the well-known O’Connell’s pub. So obviously, the operation did not go unnoticed. Shortly before 9 a.m. this morning, the firefighters were called by a resident of this building in the old center, explaining that her floor had suddenly collapsed.

According to firefighters, a beam cracked during the night, causing the floor of the apartment to suddenly collapse. Work carried out on the first floor could be the cause of the disaster.

As a precaution, the building was evacuated. The bar located on the ground floor was closed at the time of the incident. No one was hurt. Firefighters and city services are still on site.
