A 90 meter high pylon collapses after an act of vandalism

The damage is “very important on the infrastructure”, but there are fortunately no injuries to deplore. During the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, a pylon dedicated to radio broadcasting and mobile telephony, 90 meters high, completely collapsed on the Télédiffusion de France (TDF) site in Laval-Changé (Mayenne), reports the operator. An impressive fall which would be due to “a serious act of vandalism”, reports TDF.

As a result, “nearly 150,000 inhabitants of Laval and its region (were) partly deprived of radio” during the day on Wednesday, and mobile telephone services were also severely degraded for a large number of inhabitants. An investigation was opened and a complaint filed.
