A 75-year-old grandpa sentenced to prison for drug trafficking in his nursing home

He was nicknamed “papi”. No wonder, because at his age, few people continue to exercise “the trade”. In Caen (Calvados), a 75-year-old man was heavily sentenced by the criminal court for major drug trafficking. Particularity: the respondent was conducting his business within the walls of an Ehpad in the city where he lived, obviously not ready to retire.

Judged on Monday, the grandpa dealer was sentenced to five years in prison, reports West France. According to the daily, the man is a repeat offender. On at least two occasions, he had been convicted of drug trafficking. Placed on parole in December 2022, the septuagenarian had joined an Ehpad where he received many visits. The day of his arrest, the investigators had discovered 500 grams of cannabis resin in a laundry basket and 38 grams of cocaine hidden in an electrical panel, specifies West France. If he denied the facts, the grandpa dealer was still found guilty of trafficking and imprisoned.
