A sexagenarian died on Sunday afternoon, stuck under an agricultural machine, near a road, in Cailar, a village of 2,400 inhabitants, in the south of the Gard.
Alerted, a team of firefighters from the department, including an ambulance and a doctor, was dispatched to the scene. Despite “rapid medical treatment”, reports the Gard intervention and rescue service, the victim, a 67-year-old woman, did not survive her injuries.
Nothing more is known, for the moment, of the circumstances of the tragedy.
