The events took place Monday evening around 9 p.m. in the Méan-Penhoët district of Saint-Nazaire, near the shipyards. A 25-year-old man of Kurdish origin was stabbed to death Monday evening, the prosecution said on Tuesday. An investigation was opened for murder.
According to a police source, a young man suspected of being the perpetrator was beaten simultaneously by around thirty individuals. He was transported to hospital and placed in police custody, according to the same source.
