A 19-year-old young man was arrested in Malakoff (Hauts-de-Seine) as part of the investigation into attacks on digital workspaces (ENT) received by numerous educational establishments since last week, we learned franceinfo Thursday March 28 from a source close to the investigation.

Three ongoing investigations

Three investigations are opened by the Paris prosecutor’s office. The first concerns the messages broadcast via the ENTs of high schools in Île-de-France on the night of March 20 to 21, 2024. The second concerns messages broadcast via the ENTs of Île-de-France colleges during the night from Tuesday to Wednesday. The three investigations were opened for “attacks on an automated data processing system implemented by the State”, “threats of death or dangerous damage to people against a project manager public service”, “apology of terrorism by means of an online public communication service”, “provocation to an act of terrorism”, “identity theft” and “disclosure of false information in order to make people believe in a dangerous destruction”. Some 150 establishments were targeted throughout the country.
