A tragedy occurred Tuesday evening among siblings in Nantes. According to information from West Francea 17-year-old stabbed his 13-year-old brother in the family home.
Arriving at the scene of the tragedy, between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m., the police and firefighters discovered the victim who “had just left the house and collapsed on the sidewalk” according to the regional daily. He was “stabbed in the chest by one of his brothers, who had grabbed a kitchen knife”.
The victim in serious condition
According to the public prosecutor, Renaud Gaudeul, the 13-year-old teenager suffers from pneumothorax. Treated in serious condition, his life does not appear to be in danger. During this act of violence, his mother and his 18-year-old older brother tried to intervene, the latter was also hit in the left buttock.
On site, the police arrested the suspect who was suffering, according to information obtained by West France “psychiatric disorders”. The investigation was entrusted to the local judicial police service of Nantes. While a doctor was able to note, upon meeting the suspect, that his condition made police custody possible, the investigators will first try to find out more about the mental health of this 17-year-old.
