A dramatic accident took place on Saturday afternoon in Lannion, in the Côtes d’Armor. A 14-year-old boy has died after being injured by a fishing rod. According to police, interviewed by West France, the accident took place at the young man’s home. Two of his friends allegedly used a fishing rod to knock on his window. During this “game”, the cane would have hit the young victim in the eye, deeply perforating his eyelid.
The teenager then fell from his window. Transported in serious condition to the Lannion hospital center, the young man was transferred to the Cavale Blanche hospital in Brest, where he died. An investigation was opened by police.
