A 14-year-old boy was killed in an attack in London. Other people were injured. According to the current state of the investigation, there is no terrorist background for the crime.

Police in London have arrested a 36-year-old man who attacked several people with a sword. He also injured a 14-year-old. The boy was taken to a hospital but died from his injuries.

The perpetrator is said to have first driven a vehicle into a house and then attacked people near the Hainault subway station. Video footage in British media showed a man wearing a yellow hoodie carrying a long sword or knife and moving on foot near houses in the area.

The injured 14-year-old boy was taken to hospital with stab wounds but died there, Chief Superintendent Stuart Bell of London Police said on Tuesday. Two police officers suffered significant injuries and were operated on. But their lives are probably out of danger. Two other people were also injured, but not life-threateningly, Bell said.

Police believe the attack was not a targeted attack. It is also probably not a terrorist attack.
