Obituary – Unterhaching mourns Konrad Kainz – District of Munich

The Unterhaching community mourns the loss of the former local councilor and music school director Konrad Kainz. As has only now become known, Kainz died a week ago on Monday at the age of 88. He leaves behind his wife and two children. Long-time companions appreciate the deceased as a pleasant and active as well as goal-oriented person. “He was a good person,” says Christoph Hütt, who has been chairman of the Unterhaching Music School since 1989, which Kainz founded in 1974, ran for the first six years and was ultimately named honorary chairman. “The clubhouse was his living room back then,” says Hütt. There were no grants from the state or the municipality at the time, and he was very brave to take this risk.

“A really very pleasant person,” says CSU councilor Richard Raiser about his party friend, who sat on the council from 1972 to 1978 and was also treasurer of the CSU local association and the senior citizens’ union for a long time. The former government director in the Bavarian Ministry of the Interior also left his mark on the parish of St. Korbinian through his involvement in church administration and the Catholic workers’ movement.

Konrad Kainz will be buried on Friday, November 26th. The service in the Church of St. Alto begins at 9.30 a.m., the burial in the Unterhaching cemetery at 10.30 a.m.
