Internet:Will Paypal Buy Pinterest?
According to an insider, the Internet payment service PayPal is in talks about a billion-dollar purchase of the online pinboard Pinterest. In addition to a person who is directly familiar with the process, the financial news agency also reported on Wednesday Bloomberg of the plans. Accordingly, a price per share of 70 dollars for a total volume of 39 billion dollars is under discussion. That would be a surcharge of 26 percent to the closing price of Pinterest on Tuesday. The two US companies did not initially provide a statement. PayPal shares fell 3.5 percent in the course of trading on Wall Street, while Pinterest shares rose more than ten percent. A few days ago, Pinterest co-founder Evan Sharp announced that he would leave the company.
