King’s wife Camilla honored the Queen with jewelry at the state banquet in Berlin.

On the evening of the first day of their visit to Germany, King Charles III. (74) and King’s wife Camilla (75) invited to a state banquet with illustrious guests in Berlin’s Bellevue Palace. The monarch’s wife wore jewelry reminiscent of her late mother-in-law Queen Elizabeth II (1926-2022).

According to the British “Daily Mail” Camilla appeared at the ceremony at Bellevue Castle in a black evening gown with sparkling silver embroidery by Bruce Oldfield. She also wore the Greville Tiara, also known as the Boucheron Honeycomb Tiara, which was a gift from the late Queen and which was also worn by Queen Mum (1900-2002). The diamond necklace also came from Queen Elizabeth II, who she had received as a wedding present in 1947.

The Queen’s Family Order could also be seen on Camilla’s shoulder. The highest order of the late Queen, awarded only to female members of the British Royal Family, and is worn on formal occasions. It consists of a bordered miniature portrait showing the young Queen. Camilla received the order on the occasion of her 60th birthday in 2007. At the state banquet, the royal consort’s dress also adorned The Garter Star, the family order of Queen Victoria (1819-1901) and an order of merit presented to her by Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier during her visit (67) is said to have been presented.

In addition to host Frank-Walter Steinmeier and the royal couple, some well-known personalities were present at the state banquet, including former Chancellor Angela Merkel (68), “Let’s Dance” juror Motsi Mabuse (41) or Tote-Hosen singer Campino (60).
