Gironde and Lot-et-Garonne go into orange vigilance and join Gard and Vaucluse

A new heatwave episode is gaining the South-West of France, warns this Monday Météo-France which has just placed the Gironde and the Lot-et-Garonne in orange vigilance. Météo-France specifies that the intensity of this heat wave will be equivalent to the previous one which took place at the beginning of August with temperatures between 34°C and 36°C this afternoon.

These two departments join the Gard and the Vaucluse, also in heat wave orange vigilance this Monday. Météo-France indicates that this afternoon, the temperatures will again be between 35°C and 37°C in the interior of the Mediterranean regions, locally 38°C on the Cévennes foothills in the Gard. They will be on the rise in the South-West departments with 34°C to 36°C.

Météo-France ensures that this increase will continue on Tuesday in Gironde and in Lot-et-Garonne with estimated temperatures of 36 to 38°C. “On Wednesday, temperatures continued to rise, reaching 37 to 39°C. The rise will be accentuated on Thursday with another 1 to 2°C. The minimums during the nights from Wednesday to Thursday and from Thursday to Friday will be between 18 and 23°C.
