Around 6 p.m. on Saturday, a winter service employee noticed an elderly, scantily clad man who was walking on a footpath next to a wooded area on Ottendichler Straße in Vaterstetten in freezing temperatures. He informed the police inspection in Poing. However, when he turned, he lost sight of the man. The 71-year-old man was found in the wooded area around 9 p.m. as a result of a large-scale search operation by the Poing Police Inspectorate, with the help of a drone and forces from the local fire brigade. He was fine, but hypothermic, so he was treated by paramedics.
