A senior citizen from the district of Würzburg lost her house and more than three-quarters of a million euros as a result of online fraud. A supposed Internet company advertised attractive returns by trading cryptocurrencies, the police said on Thursday. In this belief, the 61-year-old has transferred a total of around 860,000 euros to the scammers since July last year. Among other things, she borrowed money from friends.
