This Wednesday, in the early morning, the firefighters du Tarn-et-Garonne intervened for a house fire in my town of Saint-Porquier, a few kilometers from Castelsarrasin. On entering this house divided into several apartments, they discovered the body of an inanimate woman, in cardiopulmonary arrest. They tried to resuscitate the victim of sixty years, in vain.
The rescuers present on the spot continued to extinguish the flames with the means of fire hoses and ended up circumscribing it, while the roof had caught fire. According to the departmental fire and rescue service, the spread of fire to adjoining houses could be avoided. But some of its residents will still have to be relocated.
