50 years of “Three nuts for Cinderella” – politics

The name of the screenwriter František Pavlíček does not appear in the opening credits to this day. Although it was he who turned the originally suffering, sad Cinderella character from the Czech folk tale “O Popelce” into a witty, self-confident film woman. It still works as such today, 50 years after shooting began. And so this year “Three hazelnuts for Cinderella” will once again lure millions of people in front of the screens at Christmas time. Czech Cinderella is well known in Germany, Spain, Norway and Austria, even in the Philippines and the United Arab Emirates.
