50 years of love for the garden. Visiting the writer Eva Demski. – style

The writer Eva Demski has been planting, plucking and fertilizing her garden in Frankfurt for 50 years. And the question often arises: What is actually really relevant? And: What does a garden say about a person?

“The first one is open!” Calls Eva Demski from her study. And indeed: one of the buds in front of the window has folded its long trumpet-shaped petals outwards and is now staring curiously at the desk from outside. Two hours earlier the white leaves of the angel’s trumpet were still stuck together, now it looks a bit as if the flower is sticking out your tongue. What goes well with this plant, which torments its owner every year with the question: Do the few flowers on the gnarled branches still open before it finally gets too cold?
