49-euro ticket: Which employers subsidize the Germany ticket – Economy

Stuttgart’s Lord Mayor Frank Nopper has a new favorite saying: “Those who work in the city with vigour, travel for free on the bus and train!” His city has been paying its employees for the Deutschlandticket since May. It’s just as good, for example, for those who work for the Berlin energy supplier Gasag, the family company Vetter Pharma from Ravensburg, the bank ING Germany, the travel agency Studiosus or Amazon. Everyone gets the 49-euro ticket, but some employers impose conditions: At Studiosus, for example, employees only get it if they have not rented a company parking space and come to the office at least twice a week. At Amazon only if they are employed directly by the group, not by a subcontractor.
