In mid-April, when shopping trips with negative corona tests became possible, the Kare furniture store set up its own test station. “We put an end to the uncertainty of what is and what is not and can thus keep our doors open,” explained business owner Peter Schönhofen at the time. Many pharmacies, hardware stores and other shops then also offered free quick tests. But Kare was the tip of his nose with it, as it has often done in the past 40 years since the company founded in Munich has existed.
