Using an online translation service on his cell phone, a 33-year-old man in Upper Franconia robbed the saleswoman at a train station kiosk on Saturday. When he demanded money from the woman – machine translated – and threatened to pull out a gun, she handed him a low three-digit sum, police said. The man then left the kiosk in Coburg. A witness observed the incident and called the police. Officers reportedly arrested the man without resistance. The police are investigating predatory extortion.
