In the second division, promoted Wehen Wiesbaden loses for the first time on the fourth matchday. Magdeburg gets a point on St. Pauli and KSC moves up the table.

Newly promoted SV Wehen Wiesbaden and 1. FC Magdeburg have missed the leap to the top of the table in the 2nd Bundesliga. contractions Wiesbaden lost for the first time this season on the fourth match day and lost 1:2 (0:0) at 1. FC Nürnberg.

Jan Gyamerah (69th minute) and Tim Handwerker with a hand penalty (76th) turned the game around against the promoted team, who had started well and took the lead through Ivan Prtajin (55th).

Nuremberg’s Ahmet Gürleyen saw the red card early on for an emergency brake (11′), but the guests also decimated themselves before the break: Hyun-Ju Lee saw the yellow-red card for repeated foul play (40′). After another traffic light card against former Nuremberg player Martin Angha (85th), Wehen Wiesbaden ended the game with just nine players.

Magdeburg at least got a point in the 0-0 draw at FC St. Pauli. With eight points, Magdeburg is now two points behind leaders Hamburger SV in fourth place in the table.

Karlsruher SC made a leap forward by beating ten Braunschweigers 2-0 (1-0). Leon Jensen (25th) had given KSC the lead. After that, Eintracht captain Jannis Nikolaou received the red card because of an emergency brake (37th). In the second half, the Badeners then finally showed their superiority and made everything clear with the second goal by Fabian Schleusener (67th). Another goal by Robin Bormuth was disallowed because of handball.
