Second division football club SC Paderborn has acknowledged its coach Lukas Kwasniok after the termination of a preliminary investigation in Spain.

Second division soccer team SC Paderborn has decided to change after hiring a preliminary investigation in Spain to his coach Lukas Kwasniok known.

“Now there is clarity for everyone involved and we can concentrate fully on sporting matters again,” said SCP President Thomas Sagel in a statement from the club. Accordingly, the Spanish authorities would have stopped the proceedings against the 42-year-old without charges or a fine. A reaction from the competent public prosecutor’s office was not yet available.

The Paderborn head coach traveled to Mallorca in May and was arrested there, but was released after a few hours without conditions. Neither the police nor the association had ever given more detailed information about the background. “According to our findings, it was very unlikely that there would be any charges. That’s why we have maintained our cooperation with Lukas Kwasniok,” Sagel continued.

Kwasniok himself had always emphasized that he had done “nothing wrong”. “In this respect, the current termination of the procedure is logical. I can now put this matter behind me and look to the future with confidence,” said the Paderborn coach.
