Just one day after third-placed HSV, second-division leaders Darmstadt are showing their nerves. In addition, FC St. Pauli’s ten-game winning streak has ended.
FC St. Pauli’s impressive run of success in the 2nd Bundesliga is over.
The 1:2 (0:2) at home against Eintracht Braunschweig brought the team of coach Fabian Hürzeler, who had previously won ten times, to a better starting position in the fight for promotion before the explosive duel with third-placed Hamburger SV. After the bitter setback from goals conceded early on by Maurice Multhaup (1st minute) and Manuel Wintzheimer (25th), the fifth-placed team is still six points behind their local rivals HSV. HSV had lost 2-0 in Kaiserslautern the night before.

Düsseldorf’s Emmanuel Iyoha sealed the guests’ fourth loss of the season with his goal in the 51st minute.
In the third Sunday game of the 28th match day, Arminia Bielefeld was denied an important step towards staying in the class at Karlsruher SC. After East Westphalia had a 1-0 lead through Ron Hack (9th/penalty), KSC turned it around with goals from Simone Rapp (62nd), Marvin Wanitzek (70th/penalty kick/83rd) and Mikkel Kaufmann (75th). game and won 4:2.
