The second division leaders won 2-1 (1-1) against SC Paderborn and have seven games before the end of the season seven points ahead of the relegation place. Fourth place already has eleven points.
Fortuna Düsseldorf led 2-2 (0-1) at Arminia Bielefeld up to the 84th minute and missed a great opportunity to move up to five points from the relegation place after Heidenheim’s 0-1 draw against St. Pauli.
Arminia is now two points ahead of the relegation place in 14th place. Jahn Regensburg occupied it after the 2:2 (0:1) by equalizing in the 90th minute against 1. FC Magdeburg.
Hansa Rostock, who also lost their second game under new coach Alois Schwartz in a 2-3 (1-2) win against Holstein Kiel, and SV Sandhausen are in the relegation places. After the 0: 2 (0: 2) against SpVgg Greuther Fürth, things are starting to look bleak for the sand houses, the relegation place is already six points away.
