During the night from Wednesday to Thursday in a district in the north of Marseille, a 28-year-old man who managed a food store was shot dead, AFP learned from police sources, thus confirming information from the daily La Provence.
A car stopped shortly before one o’clock in the morning while the victim was on the threshold of his grocery store. A man in possession of an assault rifle got out of the vehicle and fired, hitting the victim in the head, according to his sources.
Moments later, the vehicle was found burned. One of the police sources told AFP that the victim was known to the police. The judicial police have been seized of the investigation.
