Sunday evening, 250 people exfiltrated arrived in Paris after a sixth rotation of the airlift set up by the French army to exfiltrate the French and some Afghans from Kabul fallen into the hands of the Taliban, announced the General Staff.
“Tonight an A330 landed in Paris, coming from Abu Dhabi. On board, 250 French and Afghans are now safe. Another A330 will land overnight, with 150 people, ”tweeted the French staff.
Asylum
The flight that arrived on Sunday evening represents the sixth arrival and that announced will be the seventh. The French airlift, called Operation Apagan, transports exfiltrators from Kabul to Abu Dhabi, to a French military base, then to Paris.
The first flight arriving in Paris brought back on Tuesday 41 people, mainly French, Wednesday 209 people, mainly Afghans, Thursday 206, Friday a hundred, just like Saturday. Afghans exfiltrated will be able to apply for asylum in France if they wish.
