Game-War-Makepeace. A random sequence of names. But a fun one, for an endeavor that wants to give smiles, comfort, and make you forget suffering and pain for a while. Makepeace, this is Elisabeth Makepeace. She founded the Bayern Clinic Clowns 25 years ago, together with Peter Spiel, who formed the first clown duo with Elke Krieg. And, no – she answers the question before it’s even asked: Makepeace is not a pseudonym, not a stage name, her American husband is really called that. “Perhaps one of his ancestors was a justice of the peace?”
