A 25-year-old man who has been missing since August 26 has been found dead in Königssee after days of searching. The man’s body was discovered on Saturday 50 meters below the Rabenwand viewing platform near Schönau am Königssee (Berchtesgadener Land district), the police said on Sunday. The cause of death initially remained unknown. There are currently no indications of the involvement of third parties or third-party fault.
About a week ago, the 25-year-old drove his car alone to a parking lot at Königssee and walked in an unknown direction. According to the police, a large-scale search operation has taken place over the past few days, including with police helicopters, the lifeguard and sniffer dogs.
