24-hour comic day in Nuremberg – Bavaria

The whole thing has something of a challenge: to write and draw a story with 24 complete comic pages in 24 hours, without any preparatory work. This crazy marathon was invented by comics theorist and illustrator Scott McCloud. The first 24 Hour Comics Day took place in 1990, and since then it has been drawing around the clock all over the world. Also in Nuremberg, where the “Comic in Bavaria” network is holding a full-day workshop in the Z-Bau on November 25th. The free cultural center at Frankenstrasse 200 is also home to the Comic Café Nürnberg, a pop-up event that has its own comic library and takes place once a month.

Further information about 24-hour comic day can be found at Comic in Bayern, the network was founded in summer 2022 by comic creators Anna Fuchs, Jutta Pilgram, Dominik Wendland and Barbara Yelin.
