In order to “reach his destination as quickly as possible,” a 22-year-old cycled on a motorway in Upper Franconia – the journey was supposed to go to Italy. Road users observed that the cyclist was traveling south on the hard shoulder of Autobahn 93 near Gattendorf, the police said.
According to the police, the 22-year-old from Berlin was not aware of any guilt. According to his own statements, the “ambitious cyclist” just wanted to “reach his destination as quickly as possible,” the police said.
The officers warned the 22-year-old and pointed out the “subordinate road network”.
