22 year old man kills his grandmother and hides her in a grove

A 22-year-old young man was taken into custody on Wednesday, suspected of having killed his grandmother whose body was found the day before in a grove, near Lyon, we learned from a judicial source .

Located and then arrested in the Paris region on the night of Monday to Tuesday, the suspect was previously accommodated with his 85-year-old grandmother, in Caluire-et-Cuire (Rhône). “As part of his first hearings, he admitted having killed his grandmother but without being able to specify the motive,” said the Lyon prosecutor to AFP, confirming information from the Progress.

Saturday, December 4, a man had reported to the police in Lyon the worrying disappearance of his octogenarian mother. Two days later, the declarant’s ex-wife also presented herself to investigators, indicating that she no longer had any news from her son, the suspect, and specifying that the latter had “complicated relations” with his grandmother.

“The investigations carried out at the home of the missing person in Caluire-et-Cuire revealed traces of blood which had been cleaned,” added the prosecution whose investigation, initially “open to the head of worrying disappearance”, was then prosecuted for “kidnapping, forcible confinement and extortion”.

After the arrest of the young man and on the latter’s instructions, the police found the body of the grandmother on Tuesday in a grove of Caluire-et-Cuire. “Investigations are now continuing on counts of intentional homicide and will have to determine the exact causes and circumstances of this act,” concluded the prosecution.
