“The hut will burn,” said Captain Christian Günter. “We’ll do everything we can to take the next step.” The duel “has a certain explosiveness again because we played against each other in the final last year,” said the Freiburg defender. In the previous season, Freiburg had lost the final against RB on penalties after taking the lead.
“In the end it’s a cup semi-final, so it really doesn’t matter who you play against. You want to come to Berlin,” emphasized Günter. He’s trying to “hide that as much as possible,” explained SC keeper Mark Flekken, referring to last year’s defeat and the forthcoming new edition.
