Eintracht Frankfurt and Borussia Dortmund fought a duel at eye level in the Bundesliga in a sometimes classy top game. BVB had the better end for themselves.
Julian Brandt gave the visitors the lead in the 20th minute of the 2-1 win for the Black and Yellows, six minutes later Daichi Kamada equalized for Eintracht. BVB took the lead with a counterattack, Brandt hit through the legs of Evan Ndicka and Kevin Trapp after a pass from Donyell Malen. Randal Kolo Muani aimed just wide of the goal angle (39′), then he hit the post with a lob (41′).
