When he was arrested, a 19-year-old knocked out a tooth and lacerated a police officer in Nuremberg. The young man had previously thrown a large stick at people outside a passage, the police said on Thursday. He didn’t hit anyone with it.
When several officers approached him on Wednesday, the 19-year-old ran away. Shortly thereafter, the police caught up with him and forced the 19-year-old to the ground, it was said. He headbutted a 22-year-old officer.
The 19-year-old now has to answer for assault and resistance against law enforcement officers and for assaulting them.
