19 departments placed in orange vigilance

Météo France extended this Sunday orange vigilance for thunderstorms and / or rain-flooding to 19 departments ranging from the Massif Central to the north-east of the country. The meteorological forecast institute had already placed eight departments in the center of the country on orange vigilance (Yonne, Nièvre, Allier, Creuse, Puy-de-Dôme, Corrèze, Cantal and Lot) for a stormy episode possibly accompanied by hail and strong gusts of wind, which should subside on Monday morning.

This vigilance has been extended and 19 departments in total are now concerned until Monday morning 6 a.m. (those of the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, Auvergne, Haut-Rhin, Ain, Rhône, Loire, Creuse, Corrèze and Lot), indicates Météo France. The institute warns of significant accumulations of precipitation, and locally hailstorms and strong gusts of wind.
