14 Israeli hostages and 3 foreigners released on this third day of truce

  • Thirteen Israelis and four Thais were released from Gaza on Saturday evening, November 25. In separate statements, the Israeli army and the spokesperson for the Qatari foreign ministry, Majed Al-Ansari, announced that seventeen hostages had been released and handed over to the Red Cross, before returning to Israel via Egypt. Further releases are planned for Sunday afternoon, the third day of truce in the war between Israel and Hamas.
  • Thirty-nine Palestinian prisoners, women and adolescents under the age of 19 incarcerated by the Jewish state, were immediately released on Saturday evening. Celebrations took place in the West Bank.
  • Six Palestinians were killed by the Israeli army on Saturday evening in the West Bank, reported the Palestinian Authority Ministry of Health. The Palestinian Red Crescent said that the Israeli army was operating in the West Bank, and in Jenin in particular, “blocking and preventing EMS crews from reaching the injured and continually searching ambulances”. The organization said the troops “besieged the Jenin public hospital and the Ibn Sina clinic”.
  • Filled with water, food and medicine, 248 trucks entered Gaza through the Rafah crossing point, in the south of the Palestinian enclave, Friday November 24 and Saturday November 25in the first days of the truce concluded between Hamas and Israel.
