An industrial concrete bathroom
If wood and metal are generally the emblematic materials of industrial decoration, the bathroom is readily adorned with a functional and formidably trendy alternative: waxed concrete. Easy to implement at first, easy to live afterwards, it creates a raw and cozy atmosphere at the same time.
In this industrial bathroom, it is the waxed concrete walls that make the show. In terms of furniture, we therefore focus on pieces of great simplicity – asymmetric suspended vanity unit and frameless mirrors. Light pieces, which contrast nicely with the imposing wall covering, which is reminiscent of a construction site.
The use of large concrete slabs produces a beautiful impression of fluidity and uniformity, ideal for enhancing beautiful volumes or for visually enlarging a bathroom of smaller dimensions. In this inspired industrial bathroom, they’ve been paired with patterned tiles. We particularly love the tone-on-tone cement tile effect. A detail that brings a touch of delicacy to a raw atmosphere.
In this industrial bathroom dominated by XXL tiles and concrete wall cladding, the furniture displays modest dimensions and a dynamic vertical design. This bias makes it possible to further visually enlarge the space, and to really sublimate the generous volumes of the room.
In this industrial bathroom, even the furniture has polished concrete effect facades. A “tone on tone” option that allows it to be forgotten, and to further highlight the work of the windows, inspired by those of a workshop.
A well-structured industrial bathroom
Depending on the configuration of the industrial bathroom, it makes sense to combine different coatings and materials in order to structure the space and give it relief. Oxidized metal, retro tiles or brick walls: everything is good!
In this small industrial bathroom, the joints colored in black underline the wall tiles. A simple and effective trick to bring a touch of dynamism: the walls suddenly seem to push back the ceiling.
This industrial bathroom is fitted with a large Italian shower, dressed in a brick effect coating that contrasts with the immaculate subway tiling. This choice is well found to give character to the room, by also isolating the shower area.
Smart, the idea of raising a partition separating the bedroom from the bathroom. However, the space could have lacked character. This was without counting on the careful decoration of this devilishly trendy industrial bathroom, with its dark metal-style coating, which gives both personality and depth to the room.
Nestled behind a sliding workshop door, this industrial micro-bathroom has all the features of a large one. The trick: the section of the wall of the bedroom which plays the extensions behind the basin, dressed in dark. Because contrary to popular belief, black is sometimes more effective than white to visually enlarge the space!
This loft-style bathroom benefits from such generous volumes that it could have been refrigerated. We love earthenware, which creates a beautiful enveloping effect, scrupulously respecting the codes of industrial decoration.
A retro or contemporary industrial bathroom?
Traditionally, industrial decoration is inspired by the 1920s to 1950s: it is therefore readily retro. However, it lends itself readily to a modern – even minimalist – reinterpretation, particularly in the bathroom. The secret: play with the codes!
The trade furniture diverted into a vanity unit may be a classic, it always has a maximum effect. Especially since in this industrial bathroom with a vintage atmosphere, it is combined with a walk-in bathtub. The whole is played down by hanging mirrors which offer a pleasantly contemporary design.
Concrete, metal and wood: this industrial bathroom knows its classics. However, the furniture offers a sleek, lightweight design. If the decor is decidedly overdone, the atmosphere is nonetheless incredibly Zen!
A skilful work of color – especially with neon accessories – is enough for this industrial bathroom to take on a formidably current look. But beware of its apparent simplicity! If the palette is sober – from anthracite gray to mouse gray – the work of shades is extremely careful.
At first glance, it looks like a classic industrial bathroom. However, it hides a rather clever design to optimize space. Because this wall clad in white bricks conceals a shower on the left and a WC space on the right. The space saving is such that for the trouble, we can dare the XL industrial clock!
