Impossible to talk about mimosa without thinking of the Côte d’Azur. This explains why this small tree with very graphic evergreen foliage and rapid growth, can be planted in the ground only in the less cold regions. If the temperature reaches -5 °, it is better to wrap it in a wintering veil. It can also be grown very well in a large pot, which has the advantage of allowing you to bring it in as soon as the first cold weather arrives. To enjoy, in winter, its beautiful, luminous and fragrant blooming in the form of small bright yellow pompoms, which some compare to a golden shower, certain conditions must be met: it must be installed in the sun in a rather sandy soil, because it appreciates a well-drained soil, it must be protected from the cold and cool winds, so be sure to reserve a sheltered location for it.
