Pumpkins are the essential Halloween ornaments. The jack-o’-lantern (aka Jack’O Lantern) is of course a classic. And it’s also pretty easy to decorate a pumpkin without digging it. Suffice to say that you are the star of your outdoor decor!
To give your neighbors and visitors a little fright, you can paint your pumpkin with the image of scary characters: ghosts, vampires, black cats or a “Día de Muertos”-style skull… To spruce up your creation, consider accessorizing it with ‘a hat or a wig!

Invite spooky creatures into the garden
Witches, vampires and ghosts: for Halloween, all the little monsters are out! To shake up the neighborhood, offer them a corner of your garden!
An old sheet and a few dolls: that’s pretty much all you need to create a bunch of little ghosts!
If you have a few trees, bring a simple paper lantern, a sheet and a candle or LED garland. You have what you need to create flying ghosts that will perfectly haunt the garden or pergola!
So that your ghosts have a place to rest, consider also having a few graves in the garden. To make them, you can use different techniques: polystyrene, cardboard, wood… To add the final touch, opt for black or gray spray paint!
Haunted house alert!
If the house turns into a horror mansion on Halloween, it is important to warn the neighborhood! And for that, nothing beats a few panels.
To welcome those brave enough to visit you – or to send them a final warning! – opt for the coffin-shaped panel! To make it, you can opt for cardboard, wooden boards or a pallet.
To prevent your guests from getting lost (or to help people who prefer to escape!), install a direction sign in front of the house. As for destinations, let yourself be inspired by your favorite films and series to choose them!

Halloween is a night for magic – or, perhaps, witchcraft? To add the final touch to your garden decor, embark on a captivating DIY!
Summon an army of invisible witches by simply hanging hats on the porch or pergola. The good idea? Garnish each headgear with an LED candle, to illuminate them at nightfall.
Having witches over for Halloween is one thing. However, it is important to stay a little organized! So plan a garage for the brooms – which you can easily make yourself using simple branches and a little string.
But what would a Halloween witch be without the black cat, her favorite familiar? To make it, cut out a stylized silhouette from a scrap board, paint it black, add two eyes – without forgetting a bow made with ribbon or raffia.
