1. FC Nürnberg: That’s why TV star Kai Pflaume was at training | Sports

Celebrity visit to the Valznerweiher!

TV star Kai Pflaume (56) watched the club training on Wednesday – but not with the professionals!

The presenter (including “Only love counts” / “Who knows something like that”) had come to Nuremberg because of U23 right-back and influencer Niklas-Wilson Sommer (25).

Pflaume to BILD: “Niklas and I have already met a few times beforehand. I also run a YouTube channel called ‘Ehrenpflaume’ and there is a format called ‘A day with’. That’s why we’re shooting a video here today.”

Since 2020, Pflaume has already had over 55 million views on his own YouTube format. In one of the next issues he wants to shed light on the fascinating double life of the FCN professional.

The TV star about summer: “Of course he has a very exciting story. He grew up here and played for FCN for ten years as a teenager. With him you can see what is possible today. In addition to a career as a professional footballer, he is also very successful in the online sector.”

Pflaume has been active on linear TV for 30 years now. It is no coincidence that he discovered YouTube three years ago: “I always found it a very exciting channel. In contrast to television, everyone can do whatever they want there. He doesn’t have to have discussions about taste, he doesn’t have to argue with anyone about it. He can decide for himself what he does there. The people who decide whether this is good or not is the audience.”

Just ten days ago, Pflaume would have been able to take part in yesterday’s interval runs by U23 coach Andreas Wolf (41) without any problems. After all, the ARD presenter finished his first marathon in New York at the beginning of November – in a very good 3 hours and 33 minutes.

Pflaume had trained for this race for over seven months. During the preparation he lost a good eight kilos. According to Pflaume, there should not be a repeat. Now he prefers to watch Nuremberg footballers sweat…
