Joko and Klaas often messed around during prime time and their broadcaster ProSieben liked it. Now the two dare a lot and want to drive away the last spectator with anti-entertainment.

The two entertainers Joko Winterscheidt and Klaas Heufer-Umlauf tried to drive away their TV audience completely with their latest prank.

After a brief introduction, the duo spent the remainder of the prime-time quarter of an hour queuing in front of a white background without saying a word. To this end, the moderators played unsettling monotonous synthesizer music and used the treadmill to praise the program of the competition.

A thought came to them during the night, Joko said at the beginning: “With these 15 minutes, we wanted to get on our employer ProSieben’s laces as much as possible.” Sending stupid ideas, exploring the limits of what can be expected, that was the idea behind it. Klaas: “What happened? You tuned in to 15 minutes regularly at home and this advertising-financed private television monster called ProSieben also thanked us.” The broadcaster often found it “really good”. “That’s a scandal.”

“Are you anti-entertained today”

It is “high time that we change that,” Klaas continued. “That’s why we’ve decided to lower ProSieben’s quota to zero with your help today. Maximum failure for all involved. Project 0.0 percent.” Joko added: “Today we will be anti-entertaining to you by boring you so extremely that even the very last person has switched off.”

The treadmill at the bottom then advertised the competition: for example, an environmental documentary on 3sat, an Oscar-nominated drama on Arte, the “Wilsberg” crime thriller on ZDFneo, the revived RTL show “Der Preis isthot” or the Netflix series «Ozark».

In between, consumer tips could be read on how to make better use of the time: “Baking tray badly burned? Now get up, soak in baking soda or baking soda, and just clean up.” Joko and Klaas insulted their own program in the running text as “quotaless impertinence”.

The quarter of an hour ended when Joko and Klaas disappeared with the shrunken snake at the edge of the screen. One by one, the dark-clad crew members had worked their way from left to right in the line in front of them. The treadmill: “If you, dear viewers, suspect a punchline or resolution in the remaining broadcast time, we have to disappoint you.”

The two had earned 15 minutes of broadcasting time against the broadcaster in a show on Tuesday, which they could use freely from 8:15 p.m. – ProSieben says it has no influence on the program. The ratings will not be known until Thursday morning.
