zkSync has partnered with Espresso Systems to enable private transactions on their network.

Ethereum scaling platform zkSync is partnering with crypto infrastructure company Espresso Systems to enable private transactions on its network.

The partnership will integrate a new Espresso Systems privacy technology built on top of Ethereum called Configurable Asset Privacy, or CAPE, by ZkSync. sayThat anyone using their network will be able to transact without exposing their private information on the public blockchain. This could remove barriers for institutions that do not want to disclose their balances, chain activity, and other publicly accessible private information.

CAPE is Espresso Systems’ first product and has been in the test network for six months. It offers the ability to transact privately while still having all the benefits of being secure on Ethereum, which will increase the adoption of blockchains by global organizations, a spokesperson for zkSync said.

“We found that until now Private blockchain solutions cannot really attract corporations and financial institutions. because of its scalability and objectivity,” said Omar Azhar, Head of Business Development and Partnerships at zkSync. “This also allows us to leapfrog the competition from a technical capability standpoint.”

zkSync is a new Ethereum scaling platform that uses zero-knowledge EVM for scalability. It is currently in the Baby Alpha mainnet phase, which is not yet available for users or applications to launch.
