A new feature has just been released this Tuesday on Whatsapp. If we could already delete a message sent by mistake, we now have the possibility of modifying a message sent. Whether you made a factual error, a mistake in French or simply changed your mind, you can now correct the text afterwards.
To do this, simply long press on the message in question and select “Edit” from the menu. Please note that the modification can only take place within fifteen minutes of sending.
Message identified as “edited”
The message thus rectified will be identified as “modified”. The recipient will therefore be aware of the correction but the modification history will not be displayed.
“This feature is rolling out globally and will be available to everyone in the coming weeks,” WhatsApp said in a statement. .
