“Minister of Health not vaccinated? “A clumsy response from François Braun to the National Assembly, on November 24, was taken up on Youtube and on social networks, raising questions about his vaccination status against Covid-19.
Joris Hébrard, RN deputy, had just questioned the minister and former emergency doctor about his vaccination status, in the midst of a debate on the reintegration of unvaccinated caregivers. The minister him responds to having been infected with Covid-19 “on June 7 of last year”. François Braun then specifies: “Given the risk factors that I have, I have to wait six months for the next vaccination, so I will not fail to be vaccinated from December 7th. The Minister’s response is in the 31st minute in this video of the National Assembly.
Several Internet users have pointed out the inconsistency of this answer. If the Minister had fallen ill in June 2021, then he should have received a booster dose last fall.
FAKE OFF
François Braun actually fell ill in June 2022, confirms the Ministry of Health to 20 minutes. He had received a booster dose on October 19, 2021. After his infection, he had tested negative on June 14, 2022. “A new booster dose will be administered to him in the coming days”, adds the ministry.
Sixty-year-old since August, the minister could have received his second booster dose a little earlier: the Ministry of Health recommended to receive a further booster dose three months after infection for persons aged sixty to seventy-nine years, pending six months after the last injection.
