“Yellowstone” could get a spin-off with Matthew McConaughey. Kevin Costner’s future on the series is said to be uncertain.

Matthew McConaughey (53) is said to be in negotiations with “Yellowstone” co-creator Taylor Sheridan (52) about a spin-off series. This is reported by the US industry magazine “The Hollywood Reporter”. According to the report, there is no agreement yet. If a deal goes through, the actor could star in a new series set in the Yellowstone universe.

“Deadline” had previously speculatedthat Paramount Network could allegedly consider ending the successful main series “Yellowstone” early. The reason: There are said to be problems with the lead actor Kevin Costner (68). The TV show has been running since 2018.

Paramount Network said of the alleged upheaval surrounding the series, according to The Hollywood Reporter: “We have no news to report. Kevin Costner is a big part of ‘Yellowstone’ and we hope it stays that way for a long time to come. Series makes Costner a lot of money

This makes him one of the best-paid TV actors, as “Variety” reported last year.

Paramount launched the popular “Yellowstone” prequel series “1923” with Harrison Ford (80) and Helen Mirren (77) in December. It has already been renewed for a second season. Paramount+ had previously released the prequel series “1883” starring Tim McGraw (55), Faith Hill (55) and Sam Elliott (78).
