XRP Ledger to Build Cross-Chain Bridge to Connect Blockchain Network

XRP Ledger and RippleX are developing a new product offering a cross-chain bridge that bridges transactions across the Blockchain. The developer has proposed XRPL Standard to do just this.

The XRPL Standard is a guide for developers to build blockchain applications to ensure consistency across the XRP network.

Reference from GitHub XRPL Standard will offer tokens from one blockchain to be locked into smart contracts on the XRP Ledger and will issue equal amounts of tokens on another blockchain, driving adoption of the XRP Ledger.

There is also a proposed way of doing transactions on the XRP Ledger so that the movement of tokens between XRP Ledgers is aligned with a sidechain. mainnet

If this is possible, the movement of tokens will be more secure and efficient, but the developers point out that they need to be aware of higher fees, some transactions may fail, the network may Failed due to increasing network complexity.
